So when the kinematic object colliders with another object like a wall it is stopped. The target moves on. The difference between the kinematic object and the target is then translated into a force which is applied to the object to which we collided. This creates a realistic experience. You don’t expect your virtual hand will move into a wall. You real hand will even slow down naturally when you see they are moving towards a static object.
